  • Test and evaluation:
    • Oriented toward qualitative sides of the activities that determines the combat capacity of the arm forces, test and evaluation helps arm forces to be equipped with technical stuffs and materials, within the management acquisition process for defence.
    • Planning, coordinating, execution and evaluation, as components of the test and evaluation (T&E) management activities, are performed in studying and selecting of the concept phases and competitive researches, both preponderant in technological development phase, but also with possibilities to be involved in production, installing and operating and support phases.
    • Is implicated for making feasibility testing for identifying the system concepts requirements for establish main technical parameters definition. During this faze conducive to test and evaluation total cost updating and cost/performance ratio.
    • Activities are orientated to demonstrate the equipment capabilities conform to MND and ORD, contract and specifications. In this phase are elaborated the most complex planning for test and evaluation documents during on product life cycle. Also are elaborated and coordinated DTEP for industrial prototype and for low rate initial production.
  • Standards elaboration. Translation and adaptation of specific NATO standards in order to ratify and to apply , for ensuring NATO interoperability ;
  • Technical specification for Development/acquisition. Technical specification elaborated as per STPM-40532-99 (MIL-S-83 490) are assigned to be used in design and acquisition of military products. The types of elaborated specification are:
    • Type A – System/segment specification
    • Type B – Development specification
    • Type C –Product specification
  • Tests. Can be performed the following tests:
    • Electric and electromagnetic field tests:
      • Measurement of electromagnetic field power density:
        1 m W/cm 2 ÷ 20 mW/cm 2
      • Measurement of electric field intensity: 0 … 30.000 V/m
      • Measurement of magnetic field intensity: 0 … 300 m T
      • Dielectric rigidity: 500 ÷ 2500 V c.c.
      • Isolation resistance: 0,1 ÷ 1000 M W
    • Mechanical and climatic tests
      • Shock range: 25÷200 lov/min
      • Vibration frequency range 5÷3000 Hz
