INFRASTRUCTURE FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC) EVALUATION OF HARDWARE/SOFTWARE SYSTEMS INTEGRATED INTO TERRESTRIAL AND AEROSPACE PLATFORMS – IXCEM (STAR III Program 2016-2018)

  • Main research and development objectives:

Development of an EMC testing-evaluation infrastructure for:

  • Evaluation of electrical and electronic systems integrated into the structure of mobile/fixed platforms;
  • Assessment services for compliance with the provisions of branch standards and specialized assessment services, in an ISO 17025 accredited regime;
  • In the military field according to STD – MIL 461G – Requirements for Control of Disruptive Emissions and Susceptibility of Equipment and Subsystems
  • In the civil field according to EN 55032, CISPR 32 – Electromagnetic compatibility for multimedia equipment. Emission requirements, samples: Measurements of radiated/conducted emissions of the EUT (Equipment Under Test)

INTEGRATED SECURITY SYSTEMS FOR MILITARY OBJECTIVES

Main research and development objectives:

  • Definition of requirements
  • Security concepts based on laws, industry standards and internal regulations
  • Elaboration of specifications and technical projects for securing the following types of MApN objectives: Commands, Military Air Bases, Military Ports, Warehouses, Operational Units, Deployed Units, Other Units

DATA COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM BETWEEN AIR PLATFORMS AND SHIPS

(Ongoing project: 2021 – 2024)

  • Main research and development objectives:
    • Realization of data/video communications capability between aerial platforms and ships
    • Configuring radio communications using radio communications equipment in technologies at the level of 2022

    Presentation:

    • Expanding the ability to transmit data in video format;
    • Increasing the distance of radio communications and transmitting video images in real time, creating a radio communications network with configuration/reconfiguration possibilities (number of users, operating frequency bands), increasing the video resolution of the images provided by the video capture equipment.

ADVANCED DIGITAL DETECTION AND ALARM SYSTEM

  • Main research and development objectives:
    • The development of a modular mobile radio perimeter detection system and energy autonomous. The system is intended for the protection of both fixed and removable targets.
    • The system ensures the protection of military platforms/areas/objectives that do not have a physical enclosure or have a partial physical protection.
    • The system also provides access control, smoke detection, intrusion detection and closed-circuit video surveillance functions.

    Presentation:

    • The project is a technical solution for the development of a security system prototype for equipping military units within the MApN with minimal infrastructure work (installation and configuration) in different operating modes:
      • isolated system for missions/temporary operation
      • integrated system for static objectives
      • deployable system for quick relocation
    • Radio communication involves the transmission of alarm signals between sensors and the controller (unclassified information)
    • The system is equipped with detection and evaluation equipment for multiple alarms triggered in distinct areas of the military objective
